Non-Negotiables in Band
/I recently did a seminar discussion with my high school concert band on what I called my non-negotiables of band. These are probably a better statement of philosophy than the one I wrote back in college. Would you add or subtract anything from this list?
- Play quality music
- Challenge every member
- Perform for others
- Everyone practices and gets better
- Think deeply about music and life
- Everyone feels (and is) valued
- Enjoy it
